We are excited to partner with K9s For Warriors for this year’s Service Day on Thursday, April 10th.
This will be a school-wide event, where students will have the opportunity to learn about the incredible mission of K9s For Warriors and make a meaningful impact.
A representative from K9s For Warriors will join us to educate students about their mission and the life-changing impact of service dogs. We are also fortunate to have a pup-in-training or a veteran service dog visit during the event!
Hands-On Service Project:
Following the assemblies, all students will gather in the gym to assemble donation baskets with items brought in by each class. Students will be divided into teams, each led by a Fifth Grade Leader. Together, they will carefully select items to fill the baskets and create handmade cards for veterans to include in their baskets.
Please join us in donating to this wonderful cause. We are excited for the students to take part in such a meaningful service project. Each class displays pictures of K9s For Warriors dogs to show students exactly where their donations are going. This helps them feel more connected to the cause, get excited about participating, and see the tangible impact of their support.
Please have donations submitted by Wednesday, April 9th.

K9s For Warriors is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing highly trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and military-related trauma. Their mission is to empower veterans to regain their independence and improve their quality of life through the companionship and support of service dogs, most of which are rescued from shelters. By pairing veterans with these specially trained dogs, K9s For Warriors helps them navigate daily challenges, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and foster a renewed sense of purpose.
